Why do you use PayPal? Do I need a PayPal account to make a purchase?

You do not need a PayPal account to purchase Dating Commando products. You can use your credit card just like you would with any other payment processor. We've chosen PayPal because their reputation has improved greatly over the years, they have become one of the most trusted payment processors online, their customer service is excellent, and they take care assuring both yours and our security and safety online.

What fees will I end up having to pay when I buy "The Dating Commando: The Ultimate Kick-Ass Guide To Conquering Women Online"?

We do not apply unexpected or unfair fees to your purchase. Nor do we apply recurring fees. We simply charge the advertised price of the book (as published on the website). Should you live in Canada, we must apply federal tax. Should you live in British Columbia, Canada, we must apply both federal tax and provincial tax. We do not charge a shipping fee or any handling fees.

What is the purchase process? How come I keep ending up on a PayPal page?

When you click any "Buy Now" button, you will be immediately taken to the PayPal servers where your order will be processed. You can verify that you are on the correct page if you see the business name: Flickerworks Inc. DBA The Dating Commando. While on the first PayPal page, you will be given the option of purchasing the product with your credit card, or signing in to your PayPal account should you have one. You DO NOT need to create a PayPal account to make the purchase.

After you select the credit card option, you will be asked by PayPal for your name, credit card number, expiration date, CVS code, billing and shipping address. You will also be given the opportunity of confirming the purchase.

When the purchase has been approved by PayPal, you will be automatically taken back to the Dating Commando download page and provided with download access to the eBook. You will also receive an email confirmation containing a direct link to the download page. You will only receive access to the download center if your purchase is approved by your credit card company. Downloads are timed and counted. Should you exceed the download limit or should the timer expire, you will no longer have access to the file(s).

Should you have any issues downloading the product(s), please contact us immediately and we will do our best to help you out. You must have your Receipt Number available. Without the receipt number or any other form of verification, we may not be able to provide you with support.

How will the charge appear on my credit card?

The payment will appear on your credit card statement as "Flickerwork". The Dating Commando is a trademark of Flickerworks Inc. For your privacy, we have chosen not to reveal the title of the product you are ordering.

I paid using PayPal's eCheck and did not receive immediate access to the download. Why?

When you pay using PayPal's e-check system, your order status is marked as "pending" while PayPal waits for your payment to clear. When your payment has been cleared by PayPal, you will be sent an email containing the download link to your purchase.

Will the eBook work on my iPod, Kindle, Nook, or other such smart devices?

The eBook editions of all Dating Commando products are delivered in Adobe PDF format. This means that if you device is capable of reading PDF documents, it won't have any troubles with The Dating Commando products. Windows, Mac, Linux, Kindle 2, iPod Touch, iPhone, Nook and most smart devices will read PDF files, although your specific smart device may need an additional plugin. It is best to contact the manufacturer of the device for more information. Please be aware that we are unable to provide support for your computer or smart devices.

What is the difference between your book and Pick-Up Artist books? Are you affiliated with Pick-Up Artists?

The primary difference is that many of the Pick-Up Artist (PUA) books focus on trickery and gimmicks. They tend to focus on making contact with women, collecting phone numbers and then...well not much else after that. The Dating Commando provides practicle how-to advice for the average guy who is simply interested in finding love, romance or sex online without the pretense of becoming a Pick-Up Artist. We try to have a little fun with it and yes, we like to use PUA terminology. But at the end of the day, it's about helping you to find your perfect mate. Yes, we boast that you'll be dating some of the most beautiful women online, and it's true. But do remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Quality is always a better option than quantity.

What is the difference between the Amazon book and the eBook?

The only difference is the method of delivery. The version available on Amazon is an actual book, full color printed and bound. The eBook is an electtronic PDF file designed to be viewed on your computer or smart device. Otherwise both versions are identicle. The electronic version does come with the bonus eBook "The Cheater's Guide To Online Dating", which is not available on Amazon.

Do you provide support or assistance for Amazon purchases?

Absolutely not. Amazon has exclusive license to the printed edition of the book and as such, we are unable to provide any support or assistance. If you have purchased Dating Commando products from Amazon, you MUST contact Amazon directly.

Do you provide refunds?

Unfortunately we cannot provide a refund for any of our eBook products. Should there be a technical issue with your eBook, we will be very happy to assist you in resolving the issue to your satisfaction.

We're sorry to see you go and truly hope you stick it out a bit longer. However, we also understand and respect your wishes. Every page on our website includes an Unsubscribe link. In addition, the newsletters and emails also include an Unsubscribe link. Simply click the link and you will be immediately unsubscribed. If you use the web form on our website to unsubscribe, you will need to provide your first name and email address (we'll need those to verify your subscription) and you'll be instantly removed from the mailing list.

Do you offer relationship or dating advice on a 1-on-1 personalized basis?

Not yet. However, here at The Dating Commando, we are preparing to offer this service in the near future. Unfortunately until then, we won't be able to answer any requests via email or provide any advice outside of our published materials. Great question! We're actually asked this a lot. Women have responded to our books very positively and frankly it's been a bit of a surprise. We do not. Same-sex advice is outside our scope of experience. However, if there is enough demand, we will do our best to develop something for you.

Why does the British Columbia sales tax show up as 12% instead of 7%?

Canadian orders are subject to GST (federal tax). Canadian orders placed from within British Columbia are subject to GST and PST (provincial sales tax). The PayPal payment system does not properly apply the two taxes as separate line items and they have been instead combined into a single tax line item of 12% (5% GST + 7% PST). This is only an issue for orders placed within BC. Orders placed from outside of Canada do not pay sales tax.
